The ProX program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in future careers. With our guidance, students can explore different industries, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong for their future

Trinity Bates
Trinity Bates is a rising junior at Staley High School, currently interning at True Empowering Consulting. Her internship spans the current months from June to July. She has done exceptionally well in the following courses; Marketing principles, French I, and AP Psychology.
Trinity aspires to be a marketing manager. She is particularly interested in growing a company's clientele by using social media and marketing campaigns. She also loves to travel and meet new people.
Trinity is the captain of the Step Team at her school, she participated in the girl's basketball team and Track and Field. She was a part of clubs such as Black Student Union (BSU) and DECA. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, writing poetry, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. According to her peers, she is very outgoing and she always has a smile on her face. Her aura is very welcoming and peaceful and she always devotes her full attention to every task she is given.

Tamia Bates
Tamia Bates is a rising freshman at Staley High School. She is currently interning at True Empowering Consulting. Her internship spans the summer months, from June to July. She is an honor roll student, her favorite subject is math at the moment. She has received 3 awards for showing her Middle schools values such as Self-Starter, Trustworthy, Respectful and Responsible.Tamia aspires to major in healthcare although her number one dream is to play professional basketball. She wants to learn how to better understand people so that she can be able to help them, which aligns with her current internship focus. Tamia has always enjoyed sports. She has danced for the majority of her life, ran cross country and track, and of course plays basketball. Known for her thoughtfulness and kind heart, Tamia consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and determination. A quality she has is that of a perfectionist, which causes her to care deeply about everything she does. Tamia reflects on her Intern experience, stating, “This experience has allowed me to express my creative ability and learn more life skills that I can apply to everything such as being innovative.”

Charani Rangini
Charani is a rising 10-grade student at Blue Valley West High School. She is taking many AP classes and maintains a 4.6 GPA. She is in various clubs, and has went to state for DECA. She placed 2nd overall and 1st in MTDM. She shows a strong love in marketing and health. She helps create the website, social media, and the newsletter. She works very hard to see this company rise. She promotes diversity through all the clubs like SASA and Diversity club, which she is involved in. Charani reflects on her internship stating, "This internship helps me gain experience in the professional world through marketing. Dr. Bates has helped me understand the way things are done and accomplished, giving me insight no other mentor could give. This internship was a great way to understand how to market and creates websites."

Julie Gedeon
Julie is a Digital Media and Marketing Intern at True Empowering, LLC, where she actively supports the organization's digital presence and outreach efforts. Her responsibilities include content creation, social media management, website updates, brand research, and campaign strategy—all focused on advancing leadership through the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
A student at Staley High School currently pursuing her Certified Medical Assistant
(CMA) certification, Julie brings a unique blend of creativity, professionalism, and ambition to the team. She is especially skilled in visual storytelling, strategic writing, and adapting messaging for diverse audiences. Her interests in leadership, entrepreneurship, communications, and global impact shape her approach to digital marketing with an emphasis on clarity, accessibility, and authentic engagement.
Julie is deeply committed to growing as a strategist and communicator. Her long-term goals include earning a degree in political science, international business, or law, and becoming a global leader in business or diplomacy. Through this internship, she is building valuable skills in media, branding, and leadership development—while contributing to True Empowering's mission of creating stronger, more inclusive workplaces.

Amina Kabuya
Amina Kabuya is a dedicated rising sophomore at Park Hill South, currently interning at True Empowering. She ranks third in her class and has consistently maintained a 4.1 GPA throughout her high school career. Amina is actively involved in her school community, serving as class president, president of the Black Student Union (BSU), and a member of both the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) council and DECA. She is also a two-time recipient of the Glory of Missouri award for Fraternity and Knowledge.
With aspirations of becoming a journalist specializing in sports and social justice, Amina aims to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) that aligns with her interests in advocacy, media, and athletics. During her internship at True Empowering, Amina is gaining valuable experience in communications, content creation, and community outreach. She plays a key role in managing social media, supporting clients, and developing messages that reflect the organization’s commitment to integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Josiah Malinda
Josiah is a rising junior that goes to Olathe South. Josiah is an Honor roll student that has excelled in classes such as ASL 1, Honors Chemistry, Honors Geometry, and Public Speaking. He is also a proud member of the Computer Science Honors Society (CSHS) as well as Black Student Union (BSU). Josiah is the JV and Varsity basketball manager helping out with a lot of the tedious tasks, like filling water bottles and keeping stats for games, to help improve the quality of how the coaches can support the team. Josiah aspires to be in the field of Cybersecurity, specifically interested in the security of online information of big corporate companies such as Microsoft, Apple, and Google. In his free time he loves to spend time with his family, play basketball, and cook/eat food. Josiah loves to interact with different people and make new friends. He has a very strong and driven work ethic, always trying to help out wherever and whenever he can. He has a kind and caring heart, he’s empathetic towards others, and has a strong sense of humor, guaranteed to make you laugh.
Something that Josiah wants to get out of this internship is experiences with the whole content creation process and working in a creative and collaborative environment. Josiah chose True Empowering specifically because he respects the motive of bettering a work environment’s diversity and making the work office feel more like a community.

Olivia Farmer
Olivia Farmer is a rising senior at North Kansas City High School, currently interning at True Empowering. Olivia is an active member of her school’s theatre, journalism, music, and forensics department. She is the current design editor of The Buzz, North Kansas City High School’s magazine. She also serves as the current saxophone section leader of North Kansas City High School’s band. Olivia aspires to study visual arts and become a graphic designer, practicing her skills both in school and out. She has earned 5 regional awards in visual arts from 2022 to 2024 by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In 2025, she received a national silver medal by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards under the digital art category. Olivia is described as dedicated, communicative, artistic, and bright by her peers. Olivia is using her opportunity at True Empowering to grow her skills in leadership and creativity. The experience is allowing her to foster unique insights into a subject and craft of her interest. Additionally, the internship is opening the door for many valuable connections and networking opportunities. Olivia hopes that her time at True Empowering will inform her future career in addition to future academic work and professional relationships.

Tre'on Hamp
Tre’on Hamp is a rising junior at Allen Village High School in Kansas City, MO, and a current intern at True Empowering Consulting. Passionate about storytelling, leadership, and impact, he blends creativity with purpose through social media and business.
A dual credit student, Honor Society member, and president of his BFI team, Tre’on also participates in DECA to sharpen his business and marketing skills. He’s a proud big brother of seven, a self-taught baker working toward launching Treats by Tre, and has hands-on experience from working with the City of Kansas City and volunteering with Black-owned businesses.
Tre’on is driven, community-minded, and ready to lead with intention in every space he enters.

Mansha Sood is a marketing intern at True Empowering, where she contributes to SEO
research, competitor analysis, and the creation of inclusive, equity-focused content. She’s
passionate about using storytelling and strategy to help brands connect with diverse audiences
in meaningful ways. With a strong interest in advocacy and plans to pursue a career in law,
Mansha brings a thoughtful, impact-driven perspective to her work and is committed to
amplifying voices that often go unhear

America Hernandez
America Hernandez is an upcoming Sophomore at Winnetoka High School. She currently interning at True Empowering Consulting LLC, where she joined with the goal of gaining real-world experience and building
professional connections. Not only is she achieving that, but she has been growing personally and learning so much more than she expected. A fun fact about America is that she is interested in studying marketing in college because she wants to learn how to help businesses connect with the people creative ways. Practical skills that will benefit her future studies and help her advertise her own shop. America reflects on her experience, stating, “This internship has been developmental to me, it has allowed me to learn new skills to help me in the real-world.”

Maybell Landero
At just 16 years old, Maybell has gained valuable work experience that has shaped who she is today.
My journey began when MAybell started her first job as a cashier at McDonald's at the age of 14. This
role taught her essential skills in customer service and social interaction. Maybell learned how to
communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, which helped her build confidence. Maybell
like to recognize my past to mention her present, as fore now, she is a Summer Pro X intern at
True Empowering LLC. This role has been an amazing opportunity for her to learn about
responsibility and organization. She sees herself improving every day, becoming a better version of
herself. She takes pride in her work and enjoys helping others.
She sees herself as a social advocate. Maybel believes in speaking up for what is right and expressing her
opinions respectfully. She enjoys discussing important topics and helping others understand different
perspectives. Her commitment to these values has made me a better communicator and friend.
Additionally, Maybell was honored to be recognized as an outstanding spokesperson for freedom by
the VFW at Post 8100. This achievement reflects her passion for advocating for important
causes and standing up for her beliefs. Maybell is excited to continue growing and making a positive impact in the community

Connor Janssen
Connor Janssen is a rising 12th-grade student at Staley High School. As a dedicated student-athlete, he competes in wrestling and has a strong interest in marketing. Connor is excited to explore the world of marketing and develop the skills needed to succeed in this field. He joined this internship to improve his marketing and editing abilities, and he sees it as an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Connor is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and connect with people who can help him sharpen his craft. He looks forward to making the most of his time with True Empowering and hopes to walk away with skills that will benefit him in school, sports, and beyond.

Michael McNeal, a 16-year-old aspiring construction professional and content creator, is currently participating in the True Empowering program. Through this experience, he is gaining hands-on business skills such as teamwork and problem-solving. He has also been recognized by the Olathe Advanced Technical Center (OATC), which highlights his dedication to the trade.
Michael’s goal is to develop practical skills, deepen his understanding of construction, and inspire others through creating engaging content. He is eager to grow both personally and professionally through this exciting opportunity.
